Biscuit, our little cookie, is one of the sweetest dogs here at the sanctuary. She's basically still a puppy and is very gentle and loving with us humans. While she adores attention and cuddles, she's not too demanding at the same time ā usually waiting until the others have had their turn and making us come over to her instead of jumping and crowding in on us. Generally, Biscuit is more reserved. She can even be a bit shy when meeting new people but usually warms up to them quite fast.
Since she's still young Biscuit enjoys playing with her doggy roommates, running around chasing each other or playfully stealing each other's toys. She's quite curious when it comes to toys so she's usually one of the first ones to investigate new things. Biscuit knows leash and harness but will have to refine her leash-walking skills. At the moment she rarely gets to go on walks so of course everything is still new and exciting whenever she has the chance which results in some leash-pulling as you can imagine. Nothing out of the ordinary that a bit of training can't fix though!
While Biscuit generally gets along well with other dogs, upon first meeting them she can be a bit unsure though which sometimes comes out as growling or barking. Therefore introductions to new dogs do require some management ā after a few minutes though she usually realises she doesn't have to lash out from fear and becomes her playful self again, happy to make new doggy friends. If you already have dogs in the home you'd need to be able to take introductions slow and with proper management in place so as not to overwhelm anyone.
One of Biscuits most unique features is her little mohawk hair-curl at the back of her head, adding to her overall charm. Overall, we are sure Biscuit would make a lovely, balanced, loyal companion to anyone out there. š
