Our adorable Dobbie had been taken to the Kaş Municipal Shelter by a rubbish collector that found him thrown inside a bin, covered in mange, full of parasites, tick diseases and malnourished. We made arrangements to collect him asap and with medication, special food and a lot of love he just kept getting healthier, stronger, happier and cheekier.

While he came back to health overall his rough start to life did leave him with crooked back legs (which aren't causing him any problems to date) and a face full of freckly scars – making him even more beautiful in our eyes.

Our little ray of sunshine gets along with everyone, dog and human alike. Back in Turkey he used to be part of the welcoming committee when we introduced new pooches, as he sure knows how to get any dog to get confident and feel like part of the pack. His main job used to be puppysitting the youngest ones, which he did with the sweetest patience in the world! With the move to Italy the setup of our enclosures changed which means that Dobbie doesn't get to make new doggy friends that often anymore but still gets along with all his friends splendidly.

Despite his crooked legs he loves running around with his doggy friends, roughhousing and gently nibbling on them during playtime. Equally Dobbie is a good cuddler, usually asking for belly rubs by looking up at us with those puppy eyes.

While he doesn't get the chance to go on walks often Dobbie loves them. He is comfortable with leash and harness though he would need to build his stamina back up for longer walks – his legs are simply not used to continuous stretches of walking. Whenever he does get regular walks we can see his stamina building more and more with every single walk he goes on!

His rough start only made him softer and we can't get over what a sweet companion he's turned into. He's waited way too long — please help us find the family he deserves!
